“Political language. . . is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.”

28 JAN 08 – This post’s graphic was updated using the 3D-box maker which I discovered through the Generator Blog. – Evil Ray.

It sucks to be old. One gets nostalgic for the stupidest stuff. A recent Cap’n Crunch ad reminded me of the old Jay Ward (the creator of Bullwinkle and friends) Cap’n Crunch commercials of my long lost youth. I started googling and hit pay dirt with Topher’s Breakfast Cereal Character Guide.

Topher’s Breakfast Cereal Character Guide is an exhaustive list of breakfast cereal mascots through most of the last and current centuries. That’s right, I said “breakfast cereal mascots” and “centuries” in the same sentence. Us old folks, this old folk at any rate, can spend hours on this site reliving our childhood breakfasts…the stupidest stuff.

And I had a really bad idea.

Evil O's - from your future masters at Cthulhu Mills.

Horrors, they’re tasty!

From Wikipedia’s List of Latin Phrases.

Vade Retro! – "Go back!", i.e. "step back!", "begone!" Publius Terent, Formio I, 4, 203.

That’s much better than a plain old "Avaunt!", isn’t it?

The Unfact™ Of The Week.

The Unfact™ is, to the best of our knowledge, completely false and unsupportable. We are not responsible for any consequences that are bound to occur if you are silly enough to believe it.

The US Anti-Macassar Party was founded in 1879. The central plank of its platform was oppostion to the importation of petroleum from Macassr. This later became opposition to all foreign petroleum imports.

This is the absolute truth! Now sit up straight and drink your tea!
