I'd like to thank the rest of the nation and the world for the outpouring of assistance after Katrina and Rita.

Simply because of hurricanes the US Gulf Coast and Atlantic South have more than our share of natural disasters and are thus the recipient of a lot of relief. We don't expect your help but we appreciate the fact that y'all always come through. And we never take it for granted.

After we pull out of this we'll be there to help you. No need to thank us.
